Volunteers in the group can develop and share skills
The Group is engaging with the local community, and has a positive image
Effective processes, like finance, joining enquiries and meeting places are well managed

My name is Dave and I am the Group Scout Leader / Group Lead volunteer for the Thorpe Hesley Scout Group. I have been with the group since I was 6 when I started as a Beaver. I progressed through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Venture Scouts before becoming a leader when I returned from University. I still like to be active in the sections and help in as many as I can along with my main role. I am also one of the Explorer Scout Section team with Firestorm unit.

My name is Lisa and I’m a Squirrel Leader. I’m also a mum of two energetic boys. My love for walking and adventures keeps me active and I’m always on the lookout for new experiences. Having enjoyed my time in Scouts when I was younger, I am now dedicated to giving back and helping the next generation discover the joys and values of Scouting
